HCRTA President Robert "Bob" Hottle is a graduate of Hillsboro High School, Class of 1963. He completed his B.S. in Agriculture from The Ohio State University before serving his county in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1970 to 1973.
He began his Ag/FFA teaching career at Elgin High School, and then at Talawanda High School before returning to the area to teach at Lynchburg Clay. After 18 years of the year-round demands of Agriculture/FFA, he began teaching Junior High Science at Lynchburg Clay and then at the Highland County Christian School.
Retiring from the teaching field in 2009, Bob has continued to practice those agricultural skills he put into practice when he assumed ownership of the family farm in 1977. Since 2006 he has served as Pastor of Anchor Baptist Church. You can also read his weekly column, "Anchor On", in the Highland County Press.
Bob and his wife, Barb, were married in December 1977 and have 5 grown children and 5 grandchildren.
